Paviljoen Ongehoorde Muziek is een kleinschalige werkplaats/podium/studio voor letterlijk ongehoorde muziek. Gecomponeerde, geïmproviseerde muziek – akoestisch, semi–akoestisch, elektronisch uitgevoerd – krijgt een kans om gehoord te worden. Zo lijkt dat POM vooral binnen de niches zich beweegt, maar door verschillende samenwerkingen met andere instellingen probeert het Paviljoen dit tevens te doorbreken. POM is een onderzoek-, ontwikkel- en ontdekplek voor muziek. Het gebruikt het podium als laboratorium.
Paviljoen Ongehoorde Muziek (Pavillion of Unheard Music) is a small-scale workshop/podium/studio for, literally, unheard music. Composed and improvised music - performed acoustically, semiacoustically, electronically - is given a chance to be heard. It may seem that POM mainly moves within the niche styles, but the Pavillion is also involved in several collaborations with other organisations. POM is a place that enables research, development and discovery of music. Its podium is used as a laboratory.
