ultieme ode aan Eindhoven met Baklap
Tom Elswijk is een talentvolle filmmaker die met zijn enthousiasme heel creatief Eindhoven betrekt bij zijn projecten. Zijn film ‘Buckle Up’ (of beter nog: Baklap) is daar het ultieme voorbeeld van. Met deze ode aan Eindhoven verkende hij elke wijk en elke bijzondere plek van Eindhoven, betrok hij makers aan de voor- en achterkant bij het geheel en wist hij ten tijde van corona ook een bijzonder unieke première te organiseren in de vorm van een drive-in bioscoop op het Ketelhuisplein. Iets wat andere partijen niet eerder lukte. Tom zijn werk ademt Eindhoven en zijn trots voor deze mooie stad.
Tom Elswijk is a talented film maker who uses his enthusiasm to involve all of creative Eindhoven in his projects. His film ‘Buckle Up’ (or, even better, Baklap) is the ultimate example of this. In this ode to the city of Eindhoven, he explored every neighborhood and all special places in town, he involved the makers in all stages of this project and in spite of the covid-19 situation, he succeeded to stage a really unique premiere of the movie; in a drive-in cinema at the Ketelhuisplein. This success was unprecedented, and Tom’s work really breathes Eindhoven and expresses his pride of this beautiful city.
