Mies-en-Scène is een initiatief van theatermaakster Michèle Rijzewijk en maakt documentaire-theater voor iedereen. Er wordt theater gemaakt met echte mensen in plaats van acteurs en er worden echte verhalen in plaats van toneelteksten. Het theatergezelschap werkt vaak met specifieke doelgroepen en kaart daarmee sociale vraagstukken aan zoals vluchtelingen, ouderen en verschillende specifieke wijken. Pand P is de thuishaven van het gezelschap en Mies-en-Scène krijgt ondersteuning vanuit het Thinx-traject van het Parktheater Eindhoven als ‘talentvolle jonge maker’.
Mies-en-Scène is an initiative of theatre maker Michèle Rijzewijk, creating documentary theatre for everyone. Theatre is made with real people in place of actors and the dialogues come from real stories instead of scripted text. The theatre group often works with specific target groups in mind and this approach allows them to address social issues like refugees, the elderly and various specific neighbourhoods. Pand P is their home base and Mies-en-Scène receives support by the Thinx trajectory of the Park Theater as ‘talented young creator’.
