Tijdens de coronacrisis werd het stil omtrent cultuur en de beleving ervan. Verschillende creatievelingen en makers bedachten coronaproof events, waarbij cultuur beleefd kon worden onder de naam De Ambulancedienst. Het is een initiatief dat ten tijde van corona werd geboren, waarbij de brandweerkazerne aan de Deken van Somerenstraat als decor diende voor verschillende coronaproof events. Zo konden we toch nog een beetje cultuur proeven in tijden van crisis.
During the Corona crisis, things suddenly fell quiet and there were no cultural events to enjoy. A group of artists and makers came up with Corona proof events, offering experiences to audiences under the name of The Ambulance Service. These events, staged at the Fire station on the Deken van Somerenstraat, have let us have our much-needed taste of a bit of culture in times of crisis.
